What happens if you do not renew Tracfone service?
If you run out of airtime or your card expires you will be unable to make or receive calls. If you do not add a new airtime card then you will loose your phone number after a certain period of time. This period of time may vary depending on which network you are on Tracfone GSM, Tracfone CDMA, or Tracfone TDMA. Typically you will have about 15 days before you will lose your cellphone number totally.
This actually applies to most prepaid wireless carriers, and not only to Tracfone. Some prepaid cellular phone providers may charge a re-activation fee if you allow your account to expire.
